Oh Frances, I have to say I love this age. There have been joys to all your stages so far, but right now you are so funny and smart and opinionated, and I just can’t get enough.
Toddler Skills: You are a WALKER. Walking is now the default and you are always on the move.
Food: You are eating more and more foods – quesadillas are a new hit. I made spinach gnocchi and you liked those too. We are shifting to more toddler food and away from your beloved purees. Exciting times!
Developmental milestones: You have so many new words – Dolly, Charlie, Book, Uh Oh, Yay, it’s amazing. You have been sleeping great these days – fingers crossed that it continues.
Likes: Ravioli with tomato sauce. Dancing. The “big kid” room at daycare. Sesame Street. Pizza night. Remote controls. Sitting in boxes. Cheerios. Cheerios are the BEST.
Dislikes: Painting. You are not so into crafts.
Adventures: You have had several playdates this past month and have also been to the Children’s Museum several times. Last weekend, the weather was quite lovely, and we spent lots of time outside. Going for a walk with a toddler is a new experience – the pace is quite leisurely, and you especially liked checking out all the drainage pipes that folks had in their retaining walls.

She is adorable. Like – can’t get enough adorable!
14 months is such an adorable age, it’s easy to think that another little one would be wonderful. That’s how 2nd born children come to be.
